    Good

    Visiting friends

Rooms a bit old fashion. Carpet just clean. Bathroom door did notlock. No safe lock on door to the room either. No towels! It took 3 hours to get some. We will not stay there again!

I booked this hotel because tgere was a free parking but is was always full. The hotel needs to be renewed

    Fabulous

We liked the location. The rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was OK, not great. Staff was adequate.

AC not working properly in the room, also after they supposedly fixed it.

    Very good

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. They were always quick to compensate for any defects in the facilities, of which there were unfortunately many. The location is also perfect, with amazing views and spacious rooms.

At the King Solomon hotel, you can experience the height of 1970s luxury, today! Problem is, some of the aging facilities are badly in need of an upgrade. While our room was spacious we found our bed uncomfortable, and just about every appliance in the room broke -- we flipped a breaker, the heat was flaky, the toilet broke, the bathtub drain broke, you name it. For the price I would have expected a much more updated experience.

Excellent location. Good value compared to today's 5 star hotels as the hotel was probably built 30 years ago as a 5 star hotel but has aged and has become less expensive in comparison. Enjoyed breakfast buffet. Parking is free but is limited.

    Fabulous

The view of the Old City of Jerusalem was terrific

Parking was totally inadequate for such a large Hotel

The view of the Old City from the room window is amazing !

    Very good

    Location. Decent, clean room.

The front desk staff was horrid! With the exception of Shari, everyone we encountered there was either non-caring, rude or both. More often than not we had to call for someone to come to the desk as there was no one out front on a regular basis. As my husband is a travel agent he would find it difficult to recommend the hotel for anything other than location and a decent, clean room. My husband walks with a cane and only one doorman, whose name unfortunately I can't recall, ever bothered to open the door for him. Overall our experience was less than satisfactory.

The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff was always extremely helpful, always answering all of our questions and requests for assistance. The breakfasts were very tasty and plentiful.

Location of the hotel was perfect for our trip and what we needed to be near in Jerusalem. The breakfast was also plentiful.

what we paid for our stay at the King Solomon did not meet our expectations. It is listed as a 4 star hotel which is far from accurate. There was an odor in the lobby that was masked with air freshener which only made it worse. The staff was not very helpful nor friendly. There was no concierge to help with any information. There was a guard stationed outside the door who appeared to do nothing. He didn't greet guests or hold the door open. There was no bellman to help with luggage. On the day we checked out we left our bags at the hotel, however they were not secured by anyone. In general, we were very disappointed and would not reccomend this hotel to anyone traveling to Israel.

    Fabulous

Location was very good, the staff were extremely helpful and free underground parking was included The room was clean, comfortable, plenty of space and liked that they had a pot to heat water. Bit expensive, did give us some free water bottles from the minibar. For those of you used to cushy, luxurious US style beds, the beds are usually twins put together and the beds here were comfortable compared to many "board-like" beds we have had the pleasure of sleeping on. For new travelers abroad, know that the European standard is much firmer. This is not all bad, just something new to adjust too.

The water had been off- when checking in, I heard a couple asking if the water was back on. I guess it left air in the pipes because when using toilets or sink water there were little high pitched noises for a while. The noise woke my husband up in the morning. I am guessing this was not a usual problem at the hotel.

    Superb

The room rate is reasonable. The location is excellent because it is an easy walk to the Old City and close to affordable restaurants. There's a beautiful park across the street and taxis are easily available. The staff is courteous, the rooms are clean, and the Israeli breakfasts are a treat.

While well located and better priced than some other Jerusalem hotels the poor service counteracts all of that. The reception desk was unpleasant our room was never made up and requested clean towels were never delivered. Our room was large enough, but dark. The breakfast was fine and the wait staff was peasant.

The food, location. They changed our room to first floor,it was convenient.

    Bathroom needs upgrade.
